litoteaseI took myself to see Star Trek today.
Mr. Spock was my very first crush, back when I was 10-12 and the series was airing for the first time. (OK, I sorta liked Illya Kuriakin, too. But SPOCK!!!) So I was amazed to be so, so pleased at the reboot.
I even mostly liked the Uhura/Spock story line. (That scene in the turbolift. *romantic girly sigh*) Although I did wonder if they developed that story line just to head the slashers off at the pass. If so, they don't know us very well, do they? *g*
Still had some questions, though. I mean, Spock was engaged at that point, right? The timeline was intact until Vulcan was destroyed. And what are the Pon Farr consequences of having one's betrothed die? Curious minds want to know (because they don't remember that far back).
