Dec. 31st, 2008 11:01 pmBeing out on the U.S. Left Coast, I still have an hour to go before the New Year hits.
But I've only got a half an hour left before I have to leave for work, so.
To ALL of you: Thank you for all you've given me in 2008. Stories, and laughter, and glimpses into other lives. A safe space to be quiet when I need to be, and companionship when I don't. Things to be thinky about, wanted distraction, and utter delight.
I think about all of you, each of you, often. "I wonder how the baby's doing?" "I wonder what's for lunch today?" Interviews, crazy students, kids, books, exams, road trips, crazy relatives, health problems, vidding problems, plot problems, mood problems--the list goes on. And I'm aware that you're out there, and read every post, and am thankful for you.
Aaaand, now I've got to go put on the ugly work uniform and hit the door.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY! *flings confetti, blows the horn*
Here's to an amazing 2009 for us all.
