Tech Help, Please
I can see LiveJournal just fine in both Chrome and Safari. But when I'm in Firefox (my preferred browser), I just get blank pages.
When I type "gracecourage.livejournal.com" into the address bar and press enter, this is how the address bar actually reads: http://gracecourage.livejournal.com/__setdomsess?dest=http%3A%2F%2Fgracecourage.livejournal.com%2Ffriends%2F&k=ljdomsess.gracecourage&v=v1%3Au5805874%3As860%3At1311638400%3Ag58c4065d8c14a4575c37d4c4563185fa3de0a84f%2F%2FThanks%2520for%2520signing%2520 in%2520%252F%2520LiveJournal%2520loves%2520 you%2520a%2520lot%2520%252F%2520 Here%2520have%2520a%2520cookie (emphasis and line breaks mine).
What did I do, and how do I fix it?
Update: Now I'm getting the same thing on Safari, too. Is it a bug that gets planted on signing out? Because I signed out of, and then signed back into, LJ on Safari before it happened.

But somebody else mentioned checking status.livejournal.com, so I did. It says "While we've gotten site access returned for many users, we know many other users are still unable to access the site at all, or are only able to do so intermittently. We're sorry for the interruption to your LJ usage, and are still working hard to get site access back to normal for everyone as quickly as possible. Thank you."
So maybe that weird, embedded message doesn't indicate anything nefarious. Or maybe that's what LJ is trying to fix!

On to tech stuff. I can't see LJ in Chrome or Firefox. The Firefox stuff like that bunch of code that you have there? I've been seeing that for weeks in Firefox. But LJ never said anything. I switched to Chrome and just kept truckin'. Something is very wrong.
Incidentally, I hear (and I tried at work) that LJ is working fine in IE. I know, Internet Evil. I don't even have it loaded on my home computer. I refuse. Not even for LJ.
I don't know if I'm being helpful but I don't know if LJ works well with Firefox anymore. :-( Or with the latest version of Firefox since I recently downloaded the lastest version.
Good to see you!

I post more on DW than on LJ these days, although I sneak over there to read. Also, I took a loooooooong unplanned hiatus from the internets, and am just starting to get back into the swing of things.
How are you?

I'm not sure when they put in the cute message, but it was a while ago.

I have hazy memories of the LJ volunteer cohort being asked for LJ-related haiku once upon a time; I think it may have been after one of the big security breeches, where a bunch of asshole punks stole a bunch of people's session cookies and used that to compromise shit. (Things have since been upgraded to make that much fucking harder and/or impossible to do; LJ is not bad at security.)

The ?dest= bit looks like you were headed to your friends page. LOL, I'm always headed to my friends page. ::g::
