NerdTests.com says I'm a Mega-Dorky High Nerd. What are you? Click here!

I rue the low Tech score, since there was a time in my life where that would have been my highest score of all (for Lo!  I am ancient and remember the old ways....y'know, CPM, Word Star, 8" Floppies).  And I got paid to do it!  (My job was basically:  Here!  Take this new machine/program/peripheral, figure out how to use it.  Great!  Now put together a lesson plan and teach the customers to use it.  Oh, and if they need it customized?  Yeah, figure out how to do that, too.  I liked that job.)  But another position opened up in the Company that paid better but had absolutely no room for technogeeking whatsoever (ugh, Admin), and I took it (single mother -- the sacrifices we make for our children!  No, really.).

I wish the Lit score were higher.  I keep thinking I should read some Poetry.  Or a Great Book.   But the slash, it's right there, see?  And it's calling to me....

Hello! Nice to see you again, and yes, the slash does just call to you/me/us, doesn't it.

*g*

I've never read Moby Dick. I have a copy of Shakespeare's Sonnets right here in my bookcase.

So what am I doing? Tracking down links to the wonderful old Sentinel slash that I first tripped over wot caused my fall into online fandom. 'Coz, y'know, the books will still be there tomorrow, but the links might disappear....

Hee! I'm glad you're around too. I remember this meme. All my friends scored high in the nerd category and I felt strangely left out. ;-)

By the way, your new layout is lovely.

Hi, hi, hi!

I knew the quiz was older, because I stumbled across it while trying to play catch-up on the things I've missed the past few months while I've been out of it with foggy chemo-brain.

Isn't the layout gorgeous? I found it at [livejournal.com profile] thefulcrum. I almost didn't use it; it seems almost too elegant for a fannish journal, kind of like wearing an evening gown for a trip to the corner deli. Looking at it makes me happy, though, so hey.

Speaking of gorgeous, I love your Kara icons. Now I'm jonesing for some BSG.

Whew, started a reply to this the other night and then fell asleep on the keyboard thus deleting my response. :-)

I didn't know you liked BSG! Yes, the hiatus is looooong but I'm glad fans are still interested. I did a Kara Thrace Appreciation Week in my journal a few weeks ago, if you want to check it out.

And I'm proud of my icons. I didn't make any of them but it's like wearing a nice dress, I didn't design it but I can still take the compliment! This one is one of my new favorites. And who says one can't be well-dressed at the deli? ;-)

Kara Thrace is my favorite female character currently on T.V. (I haven't loved another this much since Aeryn Sun). I also have a ridiculous crush on the Chief. *big sigh*

I totally agree. Always good to find another Kara person!

And the Chief is so huggable. And good with his hands. Hee.

There is a lot of Kara love all over my journal. This post (http://daybreak777.livejournal.com/43535.html#cutid1) and responses to it is especially fun when you're up to reading.
